Membership at Rosario Youth Centre
We welcome young people from Primary 5 through to school-leaving age across our Junior and Senior sessions.
Rosario is a place to meet new people, spend time with friends, try something different and be part of a welcoming community.
Becoming a member gives you the chance to take part in life at Rosario, including our regular Open Access sessions and other activities, programmes and opportunities available throughout the year.
Most importantly, it gives you a safe and inclusive place where you can relax, have fun and be yourself.
Juniors
Our Junior membership is for young people in Primary 5, Primary 6, Primary 7 and First Year (Year 8).
Joining Rosario gives younger members the chance to become part of the Youth Centre, meet other young people and enjoy a safe, welcoming place outside of school.
It’s a chance to get involved in what’s happening at Rosario, try new activities and spend time with friends. There’s no pressure to get involved in everything. Young people can settle in at their own pace and make their experience at Rosario their own.
Seniors
Our Senior Membership is for young people from Second Year through to school-leaving age.
As young people get older, Rosario continues to provide a welcoming place where they can spend time with friends, connect with youth workers and take advantage of the opportunities available through the Youth Centre.
Senior members can get involved in Rosario in the way that suits them. That might mean coming along to regular sessions, taking part in programmes or exploring opportunities such as volunteering and training when they are available.
Whether you’ve been coming to Rosario for years or you’re thinking about joining for the first time, you’ll be made welcome.
What does membership include?
-
Come along to our relaxed drop-in sessions to spend time with friends, chat with our youth workers and enjoy everything happening around the centre. There’s no pressure to take part in a particular activity, so you can enjoy Rosario in your own way.
-
There’s always something to get involved in, from sports and games to arts and crafts, cooking and baking, music, films and more. Activities change regularly and young people can help shape what happens at the centre.
-
Take part in smaller groups built around shared interests, experiences or needs. These programmes give young people the opportunity to explore topics that matter to them and help decide what their group works towards.
-
Get involved at Rosario or support causes in the wider community through volunteering opportunities. It’s a chance to make a positive contribution while building skills, gaining experience and meeting new people.
-
Depending on the programmes available, members can have opportunities to take part in training and develop new skills. We want young people to leave Rosario with experiences and knowledge they can take into life beyond the Youth Centre.
-
Rosario is also somewhere you can talk. Our youth workers are here to listen, offer guidance and help you find the right support when you need it, whether something is on your mind or you simply want a chat.
