“I was as a young person at Rosario from 2003-2015 and got into Youth Work because being a young person in youth work helped to shape me into the person I am today. I wanted to create those opportunities for other young people and have a positive impact on their lives.”

“I was a member of Rosario from 2001 to 2011. Having grown up on the Ormeau Road, Rosario has always been a part of my life. After moving back to Belfast, I wanted to give back to the community and continue supporting young people in the area.”
Mairead King

“I was a member from 2010 to 2016. I came to the youth club as a young person myself and was inspired by the connections and opportunities that youth workers had given me throughout the years; therefore, I would like to give back the experience that I received to other young people today.”
Chloe Bailie
Youth Support Worker
Graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Community Youth Work in 2020. Started at Rosario in 2018.
“I first got involved in youth work services when I was 13. I always left each session feeling more positive than when I walked in, and I had a real sense of belonging. My experience showed me the positive impact youth workers can have on a young person’s confidence and wellbeing, which inspired me to give other young people the same support and sense of belonging I experienced.”
Sophie Bailie

Completed my Level 2 in Youth Work Practice in 2023. Started at Rosario in 2023.
“I was a member of Rosario from 2008-2018, then volunteered at the youth centre when I was old enough. I jumped at the opportunity to give young people the same support, care, and opportunities I received as a young person who attended the club.”
