At this time, the mentoring programme has no funding. We are currently seeking funding to support the programme. If we are successful applications will re-open.

Mentoring

Sometimes it helps to have someone you can talk to properly. Rosario’s mentoring service gives young people the opportunity to work one-to-one with a qualified member of staff in a person-centred relationship.

Mentoring is your space. What you want to discuss and what you want to achieve will depend on you. You might have something specific you want help with, be trying to make a decision about your future or simply want someone you trust to talk things through with.

What can mentoring help with?

Support

Life can involve a lot to figure out.

Mentoring gives you space to talk about what’s happening in your life, including family, school, friendships or how you feel about yourself.

It can also give you room to explore your identity, understand what matters to you and think about the values you want to live by.

Goals and your future

Got something you’d love to achieve but aren’t sure how to get there?

Mentoring can help you turn a bigger ambition into something you can start working towards.

You can talk about your hopes for the future, set goals and research possible routes towards achieving them.

A bit of motivation

Everyone needs some encouragement from time to time.

Your mentor can be someone in your corner as you work towards what you want to achieve, helping you stay motivated and recognise the progress you’re making.

We want young people at Rosario to feel proud of what they accomplish and supported as they work out where they want life to take them.

Guidance

A mentor isn’t there to make your decisions for you.

Instead, we can help you understand the options available, talk through what each might mean and give you the space to decide what feels right.

The decision stays with you.

Training and learning

You can also use mentoring to develop your knowledge or learn something new.

Rosario staff have experience across different areas and can help you build skills connected to your interests.

If you want to learn about something outside our own knowledge, we can look at who else may be able to help.
